At DNA Vetcare we like to improve the welfare of all animals not just those in our care. We support several charities including RSPCA, Guide dogs and Care for Dogs.

Care for Dogs is part of World Veterinary Service a charity who does lots of amazing work across the globe – you may have seen their programmes on TV…They are doing such an incredible job saving homeless and neglected dogs, rescuing puppies and dogs and preventing by:
- Reducing the overpopulation of street and temple dogs through sterilization /spaying programs and local adoptions.
- Operating a rescue centre for puppies and dogs (which is used for adoptions, after-care from surgery/sterilisation, or for transitional rescue for dogs that are in immediate danger).
- Improving the health status of homeless dogs through vaccinations and coordinating medical care in cooperation with our veterinary team.
- Fighting the dog meat trade through advocacy and education.
Sweet Licorice was found on the streets suffering with mange – in the pictures below, you can see Licorice Before and After treatment under the care of their veterinary team.

We are very happy and proud to say that for the last two years, our senior vet, Dane, has been swimming 5 km (200 lengths) as part of the Swimathon weekend!
Dane’s Swim Marathon helps to raise money for vital supplies such as food, medicine and equipment, to save Thailand’s street dogs.
Thanks to your generosity Dane has raised over £6,500! The money was used by the shelter to purchase new kennels for the rescue dogs.
As you can see from the picture that they sent us, the volunteer vets are incredibly happy that our donation helped to solve many of the shelter’s problems.
